You Have to Lose Your Way to Find It
My mind is a messy messy place today. Instead of forming something coherent, I’m giving you a random list.
- I’ve never read A Wrinkle in Time, though I’ve always meant to.
- The Resource Center of the Americas has closed. I find it sad…even if I hadn’t been there in years.
- Unicyclist lounging on a burning couch? Huh.
- I’d gotten way behind on reading Exploding Dog. Looks like Sam Brown is still cranking out the gems, even after all this time.
- A review that sums up my feelings regarding Stardust, about why such a great story failed to translate into a great movie.
- Kid Ethnic welcomes you to the hand-drawn world of crazy.
- Popgadget and the scientific explanation for pinkwashing. Verrry interesting.
- Is it wrong…that the horror of blimps was the highlight of my day?

Is that a recent picture because if your grass is that green I am jealous. Our grass is dead, brown and dead.

That is, in fact, not my lawn. I snapped this at the MN History Center last week. I am not a lawn-waterer. And my grass was dead and brown until very recently. We’ve had so much rain the last several days that my lawn (which is mainly comprised of weeds) has come back to life. Been meaning to take a photo of that actually…

Wow, you’ve never read a Wrinkle in Time or the Chronicles of Narnia? What a weird oversight. I looooooove Madeline L’Engle. My fave in the Wrinkle in Time trilogy is A Wind in the Door. I’ve read that many, many times.

Bullet point #2 is definitely sad. Though, like you, I haven’t been there in years. Even still, it’s nice to know those things at least exist.
