I really ought to go on vacation more often. Definitely feeling refreshed this week.
Five more good things:
- A co-worker purged his home library and brought in a buttload of science fiction and fantasy novels to share. I’ve been in need of new fiction (and yes, my NaNoWriMo attempt for 2009 didn’t really take).
- Motorola future/Populuxe fantasy from the early 60s. Stunning.
- The Large Hadron Collider resumes hunt for ‘God particle‘
- Fans of Tracy Morgan Offended by Tracy Morgan Being Tracy Morgan
- I’ve finished uploading the bulk of my vacation photos, finally gotten a much-needed haircut, and am ready to tackle the rest of the tasks on my lengthy To Do list.

The problem with taking in friend’s home library cast-offs is then I don’t feel I can get rid of them until I’ve actually read them. I have an entire shelf of pulpy 60s sci-fi paperbacks that I’ve been slowly going through for about a decade now. Good stuff!
So very true! Now I have this new teetering pile next to the bed but who knows how long it will take me to get through it. Especially since these titles are all of a much more, hmm, masculine bent than my usual leisure reading.
