The winds have died down and my body is on the mend. I’m about to head out into a calm, sunny (though chilly) afternoon. But first, a quick burst of five good/weird things.

- I fell for it. After reading about the Daniel Johnston for iPhone game - “a kind of psycho-religious version of Frogger” - I downloaded Hi, How Are You.
- Fever Ray, more, give me more, give me more - I would love to see them in Chicago next week. But they’re playing the same night as Teenage Jesus & The Jerks, also in Chicago. If I can’t do both I’ll do neither, dammit!
- My lovely work-wife Carie stumbled across her own likeness (in a photograph I took a while back) on this random ode to bacon tape:
I feel a bit stupid, like i’ve been letting down the tape community for not reporting this bacon tape earlier. After a bit of additional research on the net, i also found this image below of someone (looking suspiciously like me) who has put bacon packing tape all over their package… i only wish they were posting it to me.
- Hmm, this “quick weeknight meals contest” has a vegetarian/vegan category. Perhaps I’ll submit one of my recipes.
- Mel Gibson and an euphemisim[sic] for a vagina go for a jog…so very odd!

One of my friends has a hula hoop she decorated with bacon tape. It is appropriately giant and nicknamed the Baconator.
Heehee. Oddly enough, another co-worker brought in a giant hula hoop yesterday. But not decorated with bacon tape.
