The Roaring of My Mind

My brain has been a busy place. But sometimes what happens in Sharyn’s head should stay in Sharyn’s head. I need to remind myself of that more often. The good news? Me and my brain made it through a spectacularly stressful week. And there were a handful of highlights. Seeing the Watchmen movie (with so much blue penis, wow). Visiting with friends. A mostly positive parent/teacher conference. Dropping by the Deuce Seven art opening at the SOO Vac Gallery. Kicking back with co-workers and our kids.

Now what to do on this Pi Day? Would like to convince my son to leave the house to obtain vegan marble cupcakes (a surprisingly tough sell) from Mitrebox. There’s the second Saturday art thingie at the California Building in NE. But it’s also Make Day at the Science Museum of MN, which is much closer to home.

But we need to do something. I’m trying to avoid the temptation…of cutting off the outside world all weekend, and retreating into my not-so-happy headspace. To that end I’ve lined up a sitter for this evening. We’ll see how that goes.

I wish I'd paid attention to the names of each piece

Bonus: Make your own squid and set it free (via my friend Lloyd, who knows me well).
Plus: Comic artist Kate Beaton has redesigned/moved her site here. Yay!
And: Sin City style Peanuts - Schulz City.

Crap - I knew there was something I was forgetting! We’re already back home from our Minneapolis adventures, and are tentatively going mini-golfing. That is if the invitation extended to us. Hmmm.
