Is This Motion Everlasting?

When I was making dinner last night the little man sauntered into the kitchen and handed me something. It was a tooth. That’s the seventh one that has fallen out of his head. It seems like he’d only started wiggling that one earlier in the day. I first noticed it at the car dealership. Where I got one very big item crossed off my To Do list. I took possession of my new vroom vroom. It goes zoom zoom. I felt so relieved afterwards that I was finally able to quiet my busy brain, kick back, and catch up on Season 3 of BSG. I am seriously sleep deprived, but it was well worth it. And now to continue the forward momentum…

Bonus: Speaking of BSG, I’m with Eve. I’ve been going to the gym twice a week since last March, but I’m sure not dropping the pounds like Apollo. What is his secret? Maybe I need the old man to chide me.

    Hi Sharyn…
We got a 2004 Mazda6 Wagon a few months ago and so far I really like it.
Also, I started an exercise class 2 years ago and although I haven’t lost much poundage, I’ve dropped a dress size around the waistline. I found that the class really kicks my butt more than me just going in to the gym and trying to push myself on those evil machines. So, I recommend a class if your gym offers them. It also forces me to actually go…

Some other easy things I attempt to follow that really helped when I was shedding baby lbs…
    1…no eating after 8 pm…NOTHING!!!
2…no soda (i bet you do this one already but so hard for me)…water, water, water
3…always try to eat a little something in the morning to kickstart your metabolism
    4…wholewheat pasta
5…Oh, and chasing around a VERY energetic toddler is also helpful :-) I can lend her to you anytime!!!

  2. Hey Jody! Glad to hear I’m not the only Mazda owner. My coworkers all have VWs or Hondas. As for your guidelines, I do really well with those things, on and off (and yeah, I rarely drink soda). But things get rough when J does his late night baking. It’s hard to resist his cookies and cakes, dammit. I’ll likely shed more than a few pounds after he moves out.
