Sublime Irrelevance

I just took a peek at my stats and it would seem I’ve scared off a good chunk of my regular readers recently. Can’t say I blame ‘em. So I thought I’d go back to form for a moment, with some random linky goodness.

In this publicity photo Ana Marie Cox (of Wonkette) looks an awful lot like Kirsten Dunst.

Amazon lied to me. The package they claimed would arrive February 2nd actually showed up yesterday. No complaints here. Except now I have the Fraggle Rock theme song stuck in my head, in addition to the fight music from DragonQuest VIII.

A book I enjoyed by Christopher Priest is being adapted for film. And hey, check out the castThe Prestige will feature Christian Bale, David Bowie, Michael Caine, Hugh Jackman, Scarlett Johannson, Piper Perabo and Andy Serkis. I hope they don’t screw it up.

Speaking of movies…check out the trailer for Renaissance. French. Animated. Sci-Fi. All in hi-contrast, beautiful bxw (via Coudal). Coming to theaters in March.

Also in March, we’re thinking of embarking on our first ever family vacation. Sure, we’ve gone together to such exotic locales as, oh, Madison, WI. And Duluth. But our little trio has never flown anywhere together. And Icelandair has some pretty sweet deals right now. So we might just make it to Reykjavik for a few days. If I can’t take a vacation from myself, then leaving the country is the next best thing.
