I Want to Walk Around With You

It was an interesting Sunday. A field trip to the Franconia Sculpture Park with my friends’ band. Traipsing through muddy, icy fields yielded some good shots of them. I’m pretty pleased with the results. But before hitting the road I finally popped by Kopplin’s Coffee. I’d been hearing about their exceptionally amazing coffee but it’s all true. They are in a league of their own. Their hand-crafted coffee creations must be consumed to be fully understood. I feel like I’m cheating on my usual haunts, but it really was a life changing latte. And my new constant craving.

Today I can use all the coffee I can get. It isn’t just daylight savings throwing me off. I’ve been receiving calls repeatedly from a number in New York. The caller doesn’t speak English and is perhaps attempting to make international calls. When I pick up I hear them continuing to press numbers on their keypad. Beep boop beep beep boop. Not what one wants to hear at 6am on a Saturday morning. Especially after receiving middle-of-the-night texts from various sources. A good night’s sleep seems to be a thing of the past these days. Another stessor? My drooling cat. You wouldn’t think this would be such a calamity, but Freddy started drooling buckets yesterday. Survey says this is not a good thing. Rather it’s a very expensive vet visit sort of thing. Goodbye tax refund! It was nice knowing you.

Bonus: “All hot pink, pleather and prattle” - Porochista Khakpour reminisces in her op-ed piece: Islamic Revolution Barbie.
Plus: I don’t claim to understand this Indoor Cycle Racing business but hey, this Saturday’s event at the Nomad World Pub is a benefit for Families Moving Forward and is hosted by Babes in Bikeland.
And: “Enter the My Co-op Rocks Video Contest now through April 17, and count down the top 10 reasons your co-op rocks.” Hmm. Interesting.

  1. that sculpture thing is cool! - did they paint over the silver? or is the silver coming off? i like the dangling house on wires or whatever - was that still there?

The silver is totally flaking off, but since it’s mostly on the middle one it almost looks intentional. The dangling house is still there too, and I took some shots of the gang under it, but those shots didn’t turn out as well I’d like. The others were pretty rad though.

Thankfully the great destroyer seems to be feeling better though I am still a bit concerned/baffled. Then again, I am perpetually baffled by the males in my life…
