Slightly Gawky, Never Ordinary Movement

I’ve been especially lethargic lately. Friday we did make it to the little man’s swimming lesson, but Saturday we skipped the trip out to Medicine Lake. I lounged in my pajamas until late afternoon and just barely made it out, to the co-op and the library. It’s all food and books with me, honestly. Sunday was a little more interesting. We had lunch with one friend, coffee with another, and then saw a play at The Children’s Theatre (featuring the lovely Leigha Horton). The little man is now back to thinking he should be an actor when he grows up. Perhaps. That could be better than his other goal, of becoming a pool shark.

Five good things:

  1. Last night we retrieved J from the airport, and drove him straight to Evergreen for dinner.
  2. Our local library has a relatively new librarian, by the name of Ginger. We seem to have similar tastes when it comes to pop culture, in general, from the works of Joss Whedon to Miyazaki and Diana Wynne Jones. Ginger has recommended Hopeless Savages. I’ll have to check that out.
  3. Another recommendation by a librarian, the Punk Love exhibit. James, maybe I’ll meet you in D.C.?
  4. Portastic played here Saturday night. I didn’t go (I’ve been having difficulty staying awake past 10pm lately) but heard they put on a good show.
  5. Yesterday I finally downloaded the Camino browser for OS X. It’s not perfect, but it is oh so much faster Firefox.

I commend you for even leaving the house. We’re getting about a foot or more of snow dumped on us as we speak, so in the next fee days I will only be leaving my house to go to work, let the dog poop, and make the one Obligatory Snow Angel I make every year. Other than that, I’m in.

I’m viewing your site right now on Camino for OS X. I started using it because it was better for certain things than Safari, like my remote access to my work email on Outlook. And typically, it is faster, but yeah, not perfect.

    And Tofutti cheese slices rule!
