Walking Between Raindrops

My current plan is to stop fixating on the stressors in my life, of which there are many, and try to focus instead on the things that make me smile. Easier said than done. Still, I was delighted to read about the Walker’s next Free First Saturday. Partially because my dear friend Chuck will be doing his schpeel, yes…but also? The Walker will be providing free buses for a field trip to the Art Shanty Project - the one I thought we’d be missing out on this year. Yay! Sadly I missed the bus on something else - The Metropolitan Opera Goes to the Movies (or rather, went to the movies). The First Emperor was shown on January 13th, dammit. But $18 is a bit steep anyhow.

Backyardigan #5: Austin

Bonus: Speaking of steep, my beloved This American Life will be doing a live show next month at The Orpheum Theater. But the tickets are $50 each! Madness.
Plus: Sure, it’s shilling for the man, but Chuck and Josh and Leigha all made me smile.
And: Two of my blogging buddies have just posted about deep sea creatures. Amanda reminisces about The Blue Planet, which I haven’t seen yet but totally should. And Em wigs out over scary things in the water. I don’t blame her. The frilled shark is creepy yet fascinating!
