An excellent point! Personally I'm just irritated by how much easier it was to stay fit when I was younger - I mostly just want to be able to zip up a few of my favorite dresses (ones that I was able to get into just last Spring). But staying healthy is even more important, especially with winter/cold/flu season starting.

Actually, I find that research to be highly encouraging toward people finally getting it through their thick skulls that fat =/= unhealthy any more than thin = healthy. Eat well & exercise, knowing that you're keeping yourself healthy on the inside, and with any luck society will gradually learn to love what's on the outside because each body reflects health differently. The less fatphobia the better.
