Oh, also Gwen - nope, we do not have cable. But we do have a brand new freaking TV, with a digital antenna, but broadcast TV is still all jumpy and janky and impossible to watch. So I'll be watching Lost via Hulu or abc.com - once my freaking internet service is restored. Still fighting with my ISP to get a technician to the house. Sigh.

Kjrsten, good to know!

E, wacky librarians are my favorite!

Gwen, yeah, overall I like the Toro y Moi but have thought that, with some of it, "less is more" would have been the better route, in terms of effects and such. Checking out your 2009 mix now.

How do you like the Toro y moi? I just have that one song that sounds all warped. I'm not sure how I feel about that still. I think I would love it without that effect but it's so distracting.
I'm not sure if you saw it but I put up a 2009 faves mix, it has some of that electro/chill/whatever stuff on there. [half of which is on car commercials now.]

do you not have cable? we don't and that stupid converter box is my nemesis. everything was fine with the old wire out the back of the VCR antenna and now -- you can't move or you block the signal. drives me insane. better not do that during Lost.

One of my dearest friends, K.R. Roberto, co-edited a book with Jessamyn (Revolting Librarians Redux). Oh those wacky librarians!

Giorgio Moroder was behind Donna Summer's ahead-of-its-time monster hit "I Feel Love" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8TBmeK9Abg <-- ignore the silly video. Also he did the soundtrack to Midnight Express. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midnight_Express_%28film%29
Cool, cool stuff!
