And the various bento photo groups on flickr really are a great source of inspiration for lunch-packing. Just the other day I was looking at some and was like "oh, duh, I haven't had kiwi in forever!" So tomorrow's bento will feature kiwi, among other things. Too bad my Parker is such a picky eater. His lunches are pretty basic. PB&J on whole wheat, some sort of fresh and/or dried fruit, some sort of snack-y home-baked item or store bought pretzels or something, and an enriched rice milk box. Interestingly enough, I was just looking at bento boxes yesterday and thought that panda one would be fun to get him! That "ningen" is super creepy. And my co-worker ordered one for himself, instead of the twee girlypop style panda bento or the more manly construction worker style Stanley lunchbox. Mr Bento is somewhere in between.
