Thanks. I've tried to be fairly involved and to interact with staff on a regular basis. I'm on site 1-2 times a week to check in. I think we'll be able to help the little dude out so he doesn't feel so overwhelmed.

As for the shoes, I'm totally crushing on them, but afraid to wear them. EVER. Sharyn + anything white = BAD NEWS. Oh well.

Glad to hear the school is being helpful with it all. I think schools are willing to find solutions as long as the parents reach out for it. Hopefully you guys can work through it and he'll be better off for it down the road.

Love the shoes though!

An update. I took action this morning and reached out to the school for assistance. One woman on staff who has always been super helpful responded immediately with exceptionally helpful suggestions. Including:

- Building in time during day for 1:1 homework
- Breaking the new homework down into more bite-sized chunks and gradually building it up, having smaller requirements until he shows progress
- Working with staff in the childcare program to see if they can work with him on non-school days for small periods of time

She agreed that an adaptive home work program would be appropriate for my son at this time. Phew. Big relief.
