It is soooooooooo close, and getting closer still! Currently it's looking like there's <a href="http://www.startribune.com/politics/state/34024274.html?elr=KArksLckD8EQDUoaEyqyP4O:DW3ckUiD3aPc:_Yyc:aULPQL7PQLanchO7DiUT" rel="nofollow">less than 236 votes between the two</a>. Guess we'll have to wait and see what the official recount ends up with!

I am in the middle of lightening up a ton of the photos from the rally so you can actually SEE Obama. The photos look like crap, but at least he's in there, somewhere!

How do you think the Franken race is going to turn out? Do you think even with the recount he'll lose?

Now that's what I'm talking about! I would've loved a shared experience like that. Sigh. At least I did get to share it with someone - my son. And he was far more interested in the process this go around then every other time he's gone down to the polling place with me.

let this be a bit of comfort for you in regards to your precenct's pitiful turnout. i am in virginia, a heavily contested state, and vote in a precinct which is virtually vacant on any given year. usually there are maybe three or four other voters in the room when i go to vote. today i stood for 2 hours in the rain with hundreds of happy and smiling faces around me while i waited to cast my vote. everyone was pro-obama and giddy. and it was 7AM. in the rain. in virginia. on a side of town filled with folks that think they don't matter to our government. i have never felt more proud to be an american. cheesy as it sounds. it was an astonishing experience.
