Hey, thanks! I'd never even heard of Pitcairn before. Now I'm intrigued. Adding the book to our list.

The ultimate escapist non-fiction:

"Serpent In Paradise" by Dea Birkett. Totally true story about an English journalist who goes to the remotest South Pacific island colony in the world, a group of direct descendants of the Bounty mutineers and 7th Day Adventists, on the TINY island of Pitcairn. AMAZING story. I was obsessed with Pitcairn for months after reading it.

For more Posehn-y goodness (along with Patton Oswalt, Zach Galifianakis, and Maria Bamford), you must Netflix 'Comedians of Comedy'. Funny, funny stuff.

Thanks banana! I'll check that out.

And Mary, HA! No way, if I did that I'd be the sole member of my book club (and my sabbatical hasn't been all that radical, really). You are welcome to join us.

You should tough it out tonight for the show.
Must one be having a radical sabbatical to be a member of the book club?

"Into Thin Air" is escapist non-fiction if I ever read one. The best part is that you'll feel really cozy and safe at home after reading it. Seriously, I awoke in the middle of the night to find out what happens.
