Have you thought about Ace? They're located near Powell's in the Pearl District. (You are going to Powell's, right? I've been searching for a replacement since I left Portland-still no luck)Plus they have a photobooth, bicycles, and Stumptown Coffee in the lobby. Ahhh.. wish I was there now.

Heehee. One place I was really really excited to stay was the Out'n'About Treesort. Until I realized their treehouses are over 280 miles from Portland. Doh. It would still be really really cool.

TripAdvisor can be such a buzz kill sometimes. I've been excited by more than one place to stay before being beat down by the reviews listed there. However, I treat it like an on-line Gideon Bible. For those of us who consider travel a religion, you know it will always be there to help with your decisions on the road. Just like the Baby Jesus - for those who swing that way. I wouldn't really know. I just like saying "Baby Jesus".
