He's been vegan since birth, but he's also had lots and lots of cupcakes. And thankfully his school doesn't have a lunch program so everyone has a bag lunch everyday. And half the kids are all gluten-free and/or dairy-free or allergic to peanuts. So it's not just us! Phew. But yeah, I know what you mean. That is exactly what I’m afraid of, with the little man! I was fine with eating a bag lunch everyday, but when cupcake time rolled around and i was sitting there frowning at a gummy strip of organic fruit leather, i internalized healthy habits as the complete opposite of fun. i still feel that way. sigh. that cupcake article was pretty good.
