Sabrina - I totally meant to check him out at the Cedar last time, but it was either the day before or the day after the Andrew Bird show, and I couldn't do both. I'm definitely looking forward to Monday.

Iseult/Mariah - that is funny, and heartening news. My folks gave me a Marshall Field's gift certificate so maybe I will get lucky and find some decent foundation items there.

Chel - seriously, "Lake Lyndale" is right. If I ever lived in that neighborhood again, I'd be sure to be South of 24th, up on that hill.

Tim - that could also explain your choice in careers :-)

I vote for being pooped out. I have the sense of humor of an elementary school aged child, though, so that explains why I identify with the little man's logic.

You know I have a friend who seems to know everything about Uptown. He says that intercection of Lyndale and Franklin was once "Lake Lyndale" and was filled many years ago. When it rains a lot I guess Lake Lyndale re-forms.

What a weird coincidence! My favorite bra gave out this past week, and I was forced to go bra shopping when I realized that 4 other bras in the drawer are (and have been for several years) the wrong size and thus I haven't worn them. So I went bra shopping. It's normally a horrid experience filled with disappointment, but, miracle of miracles, both Nordstrom and Target had bras (ON SALE!!) that fit me well and were 100% cotton or some miracle microfiber called microsuede which is so comfy I couldn't say no, so I ended up with several new bras, all of which I like. It really was a good week last week, at least in terms of undergarments.

Sorry about your bra, but I am envious of your concert schedule. I saw Seu Jorge last time he was at the Cedar--he was absolutely amazing. He even kissed my husband's hand on the way out! Have a great birthday weekend!
